The GR 78 On the Way of St. James

The GR 78, the Pyrenean Foothills Way to Santiago de Compostela, starts in Carcassonne and passes by the Pont Vieux (Old Bridge), at the foot of the Cité (City). A beautiful hike through the Aude region, vineyards, villages, and rolling landscapes to Fanjeaux.

Located at the foot of the medieval city since 1988, the Carcassonne Golf Course offers an 18-hole course that follows the natural contours of the site. Approximately 5,800 meters long, the course alternates between wide and gently rolling fairways, with beautiful panoramic views of the Pyrenees and the Montagne Noire.

Open all year round, the golf course also has a driving range, a putting green, a clubhouse, as well as equipment rental and lesson services.
